Wood Cutting…Help!?

I bought a log of wood from lewis.

I wanted to build a model of sniper rifle as a fun-to-do thing

during the summer. I have the log and everyting but it’s just too

hard for me to cut it into the shape with tiny wood-crafting tools.

it took me about 2hours to cut one side of the scope.

I need the tool to cut the wood in chunks. I want to have one of

those machines that has the line thing? and it’s like a skinny

chain saw that cuts woods in straight lines. but tooooooo~!

expensive! i want a tool (either hand or machine) that can cut

wood by chunks. I don’t want it to be too expensive. maybe 20~35??? or less i don’t know. what’s the chippest tool i can buy? my wood is pretty hard… it took me 30min. to cut a piece of it off the log with hand saw… hard….

give me some of the options.
