Why don’t american doll make Samantha anymore?

I have Samantha and Kit and like them a lot. I was also wondering about how much she is worth. I’m really disappointed they stopped making her. I REALLY want to know why they STOPPED making Samantha! PLEASE tell me!

    they have to “make room” for the new dolls/girls. It’s quite unnecessary since Samantha is my favorite and other peoples too but that’s how retail is.

    They stopped making her because they have to make room for the newest doll, Rebecca. They’re both from New York. I think this is simply unneccessary, because I love Samantha’s stories and they feel incomplete without the doll, you know what I mean? And American Girl keeps archiving and making new dolls which is really annoying!
