Which books/videos are best to help someone get started in making polymer dolls?

I’ve been told that the magazines don’t have much information. But which books are really good and illustrated. I’ve seen Patricia Rose’s stuff which is a bit pricey for me but is it worth the money? Any help would be appreciated.

Poly Clay dools are too cute I want to try my hand at em. Anyway I have seen ALOT of books on making Poly Clay characters at crafts stores like HobbyLobby and Michaels. Here’s one book I found on http://www.amazon.com “How to Make Clay Characters” by Maureen Carlson It looks pretty detailed so Maybe it will help you out.

Patricia Rose has videos and many say it’s worth the price. Though you many want to see if anyone will loan you the videos to save you money. Donna Kato books. Try getting anatomy books too, good for understanding how muscles lay and bone structure( Drawing Human Anatomy by Giovanni Civardi)(Human Anatomy made amazingly easy by Christopher Hart)( Both of these I have and I found useful). Of course there are molds too. Dinko Tilov has a great book out called Creating Fantasy Polymer Clay Characters(this is one I personally own and love). Maureen Carlson has a couple out called Family and Friends in Polymer Clay and How to make Clay Characters. If you have a Michaels Craft store near you, wait for the coupons to get any books.
