Try a “tackle box” or craft box from Walmart, they are both filled with spaces for everything.

There are stores where you can buy plastic and clear containers. Try target, kmart, walmart

Walmart is fine. You can also try an arts & crafts store, they would have exactly what you need and they don’t have to be too expensive. Try Goodwill or other second hand stores, they have all kinds of stuff and you just might find something there that would suit you perfectly really cheap.

I keep my stuff in boxes and baskets and tins. I have my pencils, pens, markers, and pastels in a tin, for instance. I have an assortment of sewing and mending supplies in a translucent plastic shoe box, the kind of box with an attached lid. This keeps my cats from eating the thread and pins and needles. Cats WILL eat these things, and then they require surgery, so it’s better to just prevent it. I have a large plastic tub full of yarn, and then another plastic tub full of fabric. These tubs are larger than laundry baskets, and have lids on them.

I bought the shoe boxes and tubs from either Family Dollar or Dollar General, I can’t remember which. The tin originally contained Godiva biscuits, and it was too nice to throw away, so I kept it and used it.

I keep makeup in another shoe box, and first aid supplies in yet another one. I think that I paid something like three or five bucks each for them. I’ve been thinking about spray painting a plastic bucket I got at Tractor Supply Company to keep more fabrics or yarn in.

I have some old fashioned peg clothespins, which I roll ribbon around, and then put a quilting pen through to keep the ribbon from unrolling. These look very decorative in a fabric lined basket.
