    check Big Lots, or Target
When you get one, make the pages with your own personality in it

if you look at the right bottom corner/side of the page on which your question appears, you will find this sponsor’s link –

try ebay – they do have some great bargains at times.

otherwise, here are a few suggestions.
    - look for any old album lying around. either use the entire album or just remove some pages & cut to size. later, get them bound or spiral-bound or punch-filed after making a nice cover for the book.

    - make your scrap book out of brown bags. it would be unique & different & will surely earn you more points. here’s a link –

    - collect old cereal-box cartons. cut the thick paper/cardboard into the sheet size you want. then cover the sheets with contact paper or glue one some fancy wrapping paper [this will hide the actual "content" of the sheet]. you can also glue on plain colored paper if you like & then embellish/decorate as desired.
you could also cover with scrap fabric, etc. – another usnique look.
once the sheets/pages are all ready, add whatever details, pictures, stickers, etc that you need for the project.

    - you can also make your own stickers.
first make the pictures on transparency or plastic sheets using markers or glass paints.
then mix 2 or 3 spoons of gelatin with water. apply this mixture to the backside of the picture. let it dry for some time. once it is dry, just moisten it [like one does for a postage stamp] & stick wherever you want.

for more ideas & tips, i’d need some more details about your project – what is the SB going to be about?

    hope this helps
all the very best & have fun
