Where can I sell baby item crafts?

Hey I make diaper case covers, diaper pouches, screen print onsies, baby hoodies and pant sets, rhinestone binky’s, blankets, burp cloths, stuffed animals, bibs, tutus and baby leg warmers. I know the usual places to sell like ebay, etsy, craigslist and ksl but where can I sell around my hometown? I live in SLC Utah and I was wondering if people could give me some ideas on how to get my business out there? Thanks in advance!!!

Church bazaars, Club bazaars, Arts aand crafts shows. lot s of places.

But witht he new laws in place you are going to have to prove that all materials in the stuff for babies and small children is “fire proof”, not containing “lead” and a few other nastinesses we have recieved from China trade.

Yes, there is a new law enacted last year on Proving that the items do not contain Lead and are Fire Proof.

contact the Chamber of Commerce for lists of festivals and shows that you might get a booth in. There is the city CC, the county CC and the State CC to contact! That should give you a good start.

Potential customers want to see what they are buying.

Try local flea markets and farmer’s markets. Make sure you have business cards for future sales.

Miz Lamb is correct – the law enacted last year applies even to small-scale crafters like yourself. Check out the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) information at the Consumer Product Safety Commission website (www.cpsc.gov) for all the details.

Ebay or craft fairs are your best bets!

I would go to Ebay. Also, try to see if a church in your community are holding any craft shows. I’ve been to those, and I see alot of booths with homemade goodies.
