it’s so hard. what i’ve done is get the 50% off coupons from Michaels, and get the white storage organizers (fake wood), and that makes them $15.

I use a plastic drawer chests I get at WalMart, similar to this one:

They sell some with wheels and some without, in several different sizes.

I make sure I get coupons from the Sunday paper for Joanns, Micheals, and Hobb Lobby to buy my storage items. The coupons range from 22-50% off so it makes it a good deal.

i organize all my stuff in Transparent plastic boxes & bottles from the kitchen & organizer shelves (bought). you will be amazed at the number of containers you can find & collect over time. free & replaceable too ;-) )

you can use any throw-away take-home food boxes or ice-cream buckets which have lids & are easy to stack. if they are transparent, it helps; otherwise stick labels on them so that you know what each contains.

i also use empty, transparent, wide-mouth bottles & jars [again trash from the kitchen when jams/dressings/etc. are over] to store various types of beads & sequins.

you can also zip-seal a lot of your stuff which will be used together & store in one or more large containers. or you can partition the larger boxes with vertically inserted cardboard, etc. to get smaller compartments.
similarly, you can divide flat stuff by laying cardboard partitions horizontally.
or look for some old/used folders to store your papers, etc. or improvise from other “waste”.

    hope these help.
do give your trash a second glance ;-) )
    all the best

If you live in the U.S., try Target or Wal-Mart or Staples.
If you live in Canada, try Zellars or Wal-Mart or Staples.
Grocery-ish stores sometimes have things like these:

    and they are very useful.
Look for bargains or coupons in scrapbooking magazines, or at scrapbooking stores.
My organizer is a 3-drawer unit from IKEA. It was 40$, I’ve organized it like this:
    Top Drawer-Die Cuts, and stickers
    Middle Drawer-Paper and Scaps
    Bottom drawer-Tools and adhesives
Go to IKEA and check out what they have, or else look for Garage Sale finds, and things like that.
