The Oriental Trading Company has some, and Fire Mountain has even more. Both sell in quantity, but Fire Mtn also sells in smaller amounts. If you’re looking for nicer ones, go with Fire Mtn. They have all grades of quality and price.
Micheal’s, AC Moore, Wal Mart and other craft stores
You can also make your own charms out of many materials, or even make charms from whole items that weren’t intended to be charms by adding a hole/hanger, etc. to them.
Polymer clayers make a lot of charms, for example, and those can look just about any way you can possibly imagine (including like metal, wood, pearl, turquoise, patterned, swirly, plain, etc.), they can be any size and shape, can be free-shaped or molded, and they can be glossy or not, etc., etc.
If you are interested in making charms with polymer clay, check out at least these 3 pages at my polymer clay “encyclopedia” site for lots of lessons, ideas, examples, etc.:

Those first 2 pages have mostly little miniature *items* which can be used as charms if desired, but there are lots of other non-real-things that can be made too, like molds, stamped clay, or just about anything…here are just a few other pages that could apply to charms:
