Where can I donate my handmade greeting cards?

I make homemade cards,
I have close to 200 just sitting around. I used to do craft shows, but I am not planning on doing any more.
Are their any organizations where you can send cards to soldiers, or elders, or ill children?

I have spent about a half hour searching on google, and have not come up with anything yet.
Links to websites would be best!

thanks for your time!

Forget websites! Phone a local seniors’ residence or two. See if they would like the cards. Some of these places have gift shops where the residents buy things to use or to give. These would be perfect for one of those. Offer to deliver them. Make sure they know the cards are unused.

You might also try phoning a local charity or non-profit. They sometimes have sales. See if they would like some to sell or even to use. The non-profit I work for is often looking for nice cards to send to our supporters. I’m sure one in your area would be glad to use some of these cards.

To get them to our deployed military men and women (to use to send home to their families and friends), send them to:

    Please check out OperationWriteHome.org

This is a group of thousands of card makers who create cards for soldiers to use to write home to family and friends. It’s as simple as packing your cards up and shipping them to the shipper of your choice. You don’t even need to send envelopes if your cards are a standard 4.25×5.5″ size. The cards are appreciated so much, be sure to check out the Hero Blog, where you can read the thank you notes directly from those who get the cards.

We are always in need of cards to fill all the requests we receive from military members, so please consider telling your crafting friends about OWH too!
