When scrapbooking i can never focus on one page at a time?

Is it a bad thing I can’t just make a “page” like all the books and magazines? I always see a layout of two pages to go together, never separate?

And why is that a bad thing? I love scrapbooking and think that the hobbie should not have to be done any particular way. If doing a double layout rocks your boat then do it that way. The page should be about your personality and how you want to do it. Sure get ideas from magazine and such, but then use them the way you want to. Have fun.

It should always be a layout of two pages that go together for the best lookng scrapbooks! The books and magazines are usually only trying to sell you their products and showing as many examples in as short an amount of time/ as few photos as possible.

Keep to the two page layout for the best scrapbooks!

Of course its not bad, it looks nicer, but if your happy with your layouts dont fret over matching pages. When I get stuck I grab my 2 matching background papers and the photos I want to go on them. Throw 2 on each page and put it at the head of your table and start working on something else. While your digging thru your stash, all of a sudden maybe you find some tags or frames that will go with the pages, arrange them, then go back to your current project. Each time I go thru my stash, I seem to find things that will be perfect for the project Im not working on. My first scrapbook, is umm very boring, I wanted to redo it last year but one of my scrapbook friends on the net said NO!! It shows how far you have come. When I’am really stuck, I go to ebay, scrapbook sites to come up with creative ideas. Nothing in scrapbooking is set in stone (well except use acid and ligin free products)

I’m glad I’m not the only one who does this. It has been frustrating for me. No, it’s not a bad thing. Scrapbooking is an individual craft that reflects you and your thoughts. It’s a good thing that you’re not like all the magazines.
