What’s the difference between permanent and repositionable adhesives used for scrapbooking?

Will repositionable (like Xyron sticker machine adhesives) become permanent after a time, or will it eventually come loose?

   Over time it will become permanent. Many of the “repositionable” adhesives are removable for the first few days and then they become very difficult to remove. I wouldn’t worry about it falling off or becoming loose.
