What was the doll that was like Barbie, only much smaller in scale?

I’m trying to remember a doll I had when I was a kid in the 70s. These dolls were like Barbie dolls but much smaller. The scale and heads were similar to Barbie dolls, but (if I remember correctly) they were about half the size of a Barbie. They weren’t child dolls, they had long hair, make-up and were fully developed. If anyone remembers these dolls, I’d be grateful for some information.

I think you are describing a Dawn doll. She is about 6 inches tall. Check out this link: http://www.persephone.com/dawn/trivia.html

Dawn dolls are small fashion dolls that were made by Topper between 1970 and 1973. The dolls were smaller than Barbie dolls, slightly over 6″ in height.

I remember having one as a child.
