What type of material/fabric is this?

I have been trying to figure out what type of material this is, but I cannot remember. I know I used to use it back in arts and crafts a looong time ago. Its almost like a rubber/plastic/gel type of material. it can be sold by the yard, and it sewn onto crafts, or clothing. I attached 2 pics that use the material.

It is also used in lots of kids’ shoes.

Eric, I have seen shoes with those different kinds/types of materials used, but don’t know what type of materials they are. I did a bit of Googling for you, and came up with these 2 sites about shoe materials. HTH you. :)

pleather, or plastic leather. i would not recommend it for shoes on a growing child. we had jackets, skirts, pants and bags made out of this stuff, and shoes and boots. it’s cheap stuff, alright for crafts but not your feet.
