What kind of craft glue is best for use with vellum paper and card stock?

I am working on a volunteer project for a friend of mine’s charity event.

I am making bidding sheets and informational tent cards for her silent auction. I am making the bidding sheets front and back using a panel method and the tent cards are one sided- one for each silent auction item up for bid.

The charities colors are blue and white. I picked up blue card-stock and vellum paper. I plan to print on the vellum, which I have already tested, and the ink and the two graphics come out fine. I plan on giving her a sharpie marker for the actual auction, as pen doesn’t really come out well on the vellum, although you can use a pen or a gel pen.

I made a sampling up for her with different margins, paneling effects and so on, and I used rubber cement to glue the vellum to the card-stock. I had hoped that once the rubber cement was dry that it wouldn’t show through, but it did.

I am hoping someone has an idea of what kind of glue I can use to keep the vellum in place on the card-stock without showing through and where I can get it.

I really want this to look like it was professionally done to help draw higher bids for the silent auction next month. I am usually the one who works things up on the computer and hands it off to others for the final product, but she asked me to do the printing, so the advice you all have would be VERY helpful!

Thanks so very much to anyone who might be able to help!
I am looking for the glue to not show through the vellum……

Scotch Scrapbook Glue. I Know For sure i already used it on cardstock before i had to make fliers with cardstock and glued the paper around the flier.

Glue will always show through vellum. It won’t stick very well, either. You can make a little frame around it with tape, make a mat like a picture, or use brads.

Why don’t you buy glue that is acid free and also maybe try some glue dots and see if that works

Any liquid glue or glue stick is going to show through. There is a two way tape runner just for vellum.

If you have a scrapbook store by you they will have it

The one below is by Scotch, but there are others
