What is a good hobby for an arts & crafts and animal lover?

I need a hobby. I LOVE arts and crafts, but my heart belongs to animals truthfully.

I need something that does not cost much, or, if it does, will earn income, or just is worth the cost in the end.

As I said before, I really enjoy arts and crafts but anything animal related would be fantastic.

Currently I am breeding my guppies, rabbits, and soon my red tail boa.

However, due to some personal research, I have come to the conclusion that I would rather adopt animals, than add onto their population by breeding. The only exception is my red tail.

Also, I crochette. I am just getting bored of it though. 5 baby blankets, 2 purses, and a full sized afgan later and I’m plum sick of it.

So, any ideas yall?

Thanks in advance to all of yall who answer.

p.s. I tried painting, love it but get bored of it.

Poetry, GREAT at it but don’t have the heart for it anymore.

Drawing, I try so hard and just don’t get any satisfaction out of it.

Guitar, learned a few songs and got bored.

Again, thanks in advance for all your advice, and help.
Oh! Thanks for the ideas on that. I also did scrapbooking but just didn’t like it.

I did photography and even took classes in school and LOVED it but I was SOOOOO bad at it. Also, I no longer am taking classes and no longer have a camera.

How about scrap-booking? You can even make a scrapbook about your experiences with the animals that you have.

You can also get into wildlife photography or birdwatching.

    Hope that helps.

I listed a link below because my hobbies are scrapbooking, painting, and reading so I ran out of ideas. Also I like to look online at sites like http://www.hostesswiththemostess.com/themes/christmas
and get ideas for crafts to make and themed parties to throw.
    Maybe the link can help.

Contact a no-kill animal shelter and see what the animals may need. Could you do a couple of dog sweaters for senior dogs? They chill easily like senior humans do. How about soft throw blankets in tiny sizes for cats or small dogs?

Last fall/winter, I ended up making parrot sweaters, of all things! I’d never heard of it, either, but a shelter (on whose mailing list I am) needed them. They gave some vague description, and I was able to come up with easy-to-follow directions for others to make them, too. I also made up a knitting pattern for them.

If you do not have a no-kill shelter in your area, pick one further away and mail stuff in. I do that. You can look up addresses online for places like North Shore Animal League, Rolling Dog Ranch, Best Friends Animal Society, and such. They all have ongoing needs and need volunteers to fill them.
