What easy arts and crafts idea can you think of which children can easily make and learn?
its something i am designing for kids in a science lesson, it must be easy to make and they should learn simple scientific facts from it.

You can do leaf rubbings. Gather different leaves, place paper over them and rub a crayon on the paper. You will see the outline of the leaf and the veining. They will be able to learn about all the different leaf shapes.
You can do paint splattering. Each brings and old toothbrush. Place objects over a piece of paper. Dip the toothbrush into paint and slide the bristles over something (the edge of a cup, a ruler, a lid, etc) and the paint will splatter onto the paper. You will be leaf with the outline of the shapes you left on the paper. They can experiment with speed and you will get different splattering. They can experiement with distance and you will get different splattering too. This is fun to do. Plus mixing the colors of paint will result in new colors being formed too.
Make telephones. Gather different things to use… paper towel rolls, tin cans, string, wire, etc. Tie two paper towel rolls together and use string, then wire, etc. Test the different materials to see which makes the best phone.

Children love making little reindeer made out of wooden ice cream scoops. You can get them at wally world or the local craft shops. You can add little pipe cleaners for the antlers and little round eyes. They can use the little glue sticks that are safe and let them decorate them. Or make snowmen ornaments from cotton balls and glue sticks decorate the eyes and give them a hat. The little soda pop lids make great hats for the kids to paint and glue on the heads. Children love most anything they can paint or glitter.
