What do you call the craft where you make tiny flowers out of ribbons of paper?

At my friend’s wedding, she received a framed copy of her wedding invitation decorated with these pretty little flowers and vines made of curled up strips of paper. I think there was a name for it, like scrolled or scribed flowers, but I don’t remember. I’d like to do something similar for another friend who is getting married. I just don’t know what to call it in order to look it up and learn how.
