    Kids gain fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and creative thinking. Following instructions can be very important, which teaches a critical life skill. Additionally, it involves some problem solving in order to create a whole out of pieces, visualize final products, or create something that will accomplish a desired purpose. The most important thing is that the brain is working during arts and crafts – processing what the hands are doing, following lines, thinking of what to create – and that in itself is beneficial to the brain. Choose arts and crafts over TV any day.
