cooking and cleaning!
Macrame and decoupage.
Useful things like cooking, cleaning, raising children, working, etc. This is like asking what men did before video games….
you know, i’ve often wondered that. i’ve only been scrapping for 3 years, and i can’t remember what I did before. and i’m not a mom. it’s addicting. ATTN: TEENS – if someone on the street comes up to you and offers you a sizzix, DON’T TAKE IT!!!! it’s the “new” drug of choice for women aged 15 to 50.
Sewing, Quilting, Knitting, Card Making, Gardening, Painting, all sorts of crafting! Just think Martha Stewart!
I for one like Scrapbooking. Stamping is ok. But I LOVE knitting kewl stuff like bikini’s and yoga mat bags for my friends and family. I adore making my own cards (I am a fan of sumi e, so it tends to be a big part of my art). I can sew up curtains as well as a lovely felted photo album cover. I keep a great English Garden and give out flowers as well as seeds (usually at a wedding or baby shower).
There is just so much to do! Mom’s get pigeon-holed into one craft or another because they want to be a part of a group. Ya know, make friends. But there are so many ways to express oneself……….. I can’t pick just one!
wow um lets see it depends how far back in old westarn times many wemen collected old things to pass down to there little ones like brushes and mirriors or even quilts well now that i think about it moms nitted or sewed for a wile before scrapbooking lol i hope that helped
Gardening, needlepoint, crochet, tatting, canning, embroidery, candle making, decoupage, beading, basket weaving, knitting, rug hooking, cross stitching, raising their own rug rats, Cubs, Brownies, Girl/Boy Scouts….book clubs, cooking/dinner groups………bridge……quilting, sewing, doll making……..I’m missing a bunch….what was the craft that made wall-hangings with all of those knots………….and crafts with egg shells……..
Next year it may be something else……….who knows what ??!!
cook , sew all my daughters clothes, and mine. Take care of all the pets she wanted but wouldnt care for, and watch all the other kids in the neighborhood free.
