What craft can i do with cardboard boxes(that doesnt look like childrens crafts)?

Are there are craft to do with cardboard boxes?I was thinking maybe decoupage but is there way to make the boxes more solid like real wood boxes if that makes sense?
I want to make the boxes strong and solid or is there some other craft you can do with then that looks like fine craft and not like childrens crafts?
Thankyou

and just for the heck of it look at all of the things on this site. I know it’s for children but it may give you some ideas of what you can create.

You can strengthen the cardboard boxes by layering them with glued paper [papier mache - at least 3 layers]. If you use newspaper strips, you get a smooth finish while tissue paper can give you a textured finish. Select as per preference. Once the layers are completely dry, you can paint & decorate or Decoupage.

But before starting papier mache, you need to decide on the shape of the article; whether any boxes need to be attached together [cellophane tape can be used in ample quantity]; whether some parts need to cut or enhanced; & so on. After you’ve made all necessary changes to get the desired design/shape, start p-m.

You can use these boxes as beautiful storage contaniers – a set of 3.
You can add ‘shelves’ inside & have a couple of ‘doors’ to look like a mini-almirah/cupboard & use them so store trinkets, etc.
Turn the box, add partitions, & it can be used as a stationery stand, or a stand for your brushes/art-related things,…
Basically, you can make customized Organizers for just about anything – sewing, quilting, beading, scrapbooking, artwork, paper & papercrafts, knitting & crochet needles, embroidery floss, …….even crockery & silverware & table linen, towels, etc.

You could use the smaller boxes as drawers within a larger box.

And, if you want, you could have one side transparent by using glass or a transparency sheet ! This will also give you the opportunity to use glass paints ;-)

If you stuff a box after p-m, you can use them as beautiful stools for kids. You could convert them into unique designs shaped like a bird, animal, flower, toadstool, etc.
