   Mostly small items and crafts. Nothing with a heavy or thick fabric.

   Be sure to use the correct size needle for the project. A light-weight, double layer of cotton may sew well with a 12/80 but better with a 14/90. Use size 16/100 for denim or jeans.

   Refer to your manual for correct placement when changing the needle.

   Sew a few stitches in a folded scrap of the fabric you will be working with to check needle size and stitch length (width when using the zig-zag stitch.
