I like digital photography but there is nothing like having a paper copy of your memories. Unfortunately, technology changes and years from now you may not be able to access your digital scrapbook. Computers and programs are always being updated!
Both are really cool. Traditional scrapbooking is far more expensive, time consuming, can be messy with the glue, and the final product may have limited shelf life. On the other hand you can be really creative if you have artistic ability.
