What are the best needlwork/yarn shops in NYC?
I’m going to be visiting NYC in mid December and want to check out some cool yarn shops or needlework shops, fabric stores or craft shops would be OK too.
I’m staying in Mid-town. Any suggestions? I hate going home and finding out that I was 2 blocks from the coolest store!

Check out Joann.com as they have many shops all over the US their site will tell you where their shops are You can also check out Michaels and Hobbylobby (I haven’t dealt with the last two so you will have to check them out).
There is a HUGE yarn store in NYC called Smileys. They have a website too, so you can get directions and hours. I have personally never been there, but I’m hoping to this spring.
