Picture frames are a fun craft, if you go to Michaels or Joanns I know they now have these craft kit, stuff like magnetic picture frames for the fridge, or you can also get plate painting kits. You can Paint a plate with all your names and the family name when the family was established or paint a family tree.
My kids and I love to do crafts. I have ordered stuff from the Oriental Trading magazine. Of course you could do it online too. Orientaltrading.com. They have kits, with everything you need to make them already packaged. except for the glue. Or go to Kaboose.com. They just have them listed you don’t need to buy them.

I have my kids draw their own cartoons and use my camera to make their own ‘movies’. you could also teach them crochet or knitting.
