What are some good arts & crafts ideas for 7-13 year olds?

I’m getting a summer job being a program co-ordinator for a group of day camp children. I need some ideas for arts & crafts and activities for the kids to do. Can somebody brainstorm and provide me with some great ideas that will turn this day camp into a really fun experience for everyone. Thanks!

i know when i was younger i was taught how to make friendship bracelets out of embroidery floss. Its an easy activity that they can trade with eachother.

!!!! i know!!! i did this in second grade it was so fun!!! get some cardstock and fold it in half to make a blank card, then take shaving cream and put it on a desk or other easily cleanable surface and let the kids pick 1 2 or 3 colors of food color and drip a little on the shaving cream, have them swirl the food color, then give them each 2 or 3 cards and have them press the card in the food color/shaving cream mix and scrape it off with a spatula. WA-LA! a totally unique card just for them. also, the shaving cream will clean off the desk :)

you could paint rocks to look like horses, you could make door hangers for their doors at home with a wrongler theme. If there are actual horses around you can paint the horses with paint that washes off kids love doing that. you want some more great ideas http://www.craftsadvisor.com/category/kid-crafts/

Collecting banknotes (world paper currency) is a very rewarding and educational experience and a wonderful pastime. Everyone is using banknotes in their daily life to purchase food, goods and services and does not realise how beautiful money can be and what a richness of information can be printed on each banknote (bill). Children should be taught to appreciate not only monetary value of banknotes, but also artistic value of banknotes as well. Banknotes are collected by all ages, from small children to very old adults, ages 6 to 100+. Enjoy collecting world paper money.
