what are good crafts to do with little kids?
My child is one now and I like doing arts and crafts with her. What are some good things we could do or she could do?

colouring with crayons or markers on blank paper, let her do her own thing.
My grand daughters loved playing with playdoh and using a little rollingpin and cutting out different shapes. The pieces that need to be pressed or squeezed out are too difficult for little hands and cause frustration.
the large lego sets are great fun to play with as well.

I just ran across this idea in an old art instruction book for elementary school teachers and thought it was fantastic: finger painting on huge sheets of paper. Not that original, except you use PUDDING for the finger paints! Simply make a box of instant pudding in any flavor, than smear it all over the large sheet of paper. Don’t cover it very thickly, just enough to add color and cover the page. Then allow to dry completely. You can then cut the paper down, however you wish. The custard type instant pudding is non toxic, cleans up with no problems, and when dry smells wonderfully!

I started doing crafts with my kids and my friends kids a year ago and haven’t stopped since. I find it is a great way to keep them busy and amused and its surprising how quickly they pick up skills and always rewarding to see how happy they are when they see what they have created. My freind recomended this website a while back and I’ve been using alot since they are great value, deliver on time and there are endless ideas for kids of all ages. You won’t be dissapointed.
