You could use the cracked glass technique. UTEE is thick embossing powder. You can get it from craft shops:

It may be too late to help you, but if you go to the bead section of your hobby store or even Walmart, you can find glass beads. I don’t know how big this has to be, but there are crystal-like beads and such. Good luck with your display!
