Very thin sheets of wood for crafting?
I’m looking for sheets of wood, very thin, about 1/16 of an inch in depth. I found something that sounds like it might work, called ‘balsa wood’ (see http://www.createforless.com/Midwest+Balsa+Sheets+1/16x+6x+36/pid23874.aspx?SI=f3462960-5181-47e9-a18b-5fb95056e413 ). I would like to use scissors to cut it with, but I don’t know if that’s possible (are there special scissors for such a thing?)
Is there anything else better than balsa wood sheets? 1/16th of an inch in depth, and can be cut with scissors?
Thank you, kind strangers!

Balsa wood is probably your best bet, but its not very strong. You could cut it with regular scissors, but may wear the scissors pretty quickly. Its probably best if you use more industrial grade scissors or X-acto knives. You can get this wood at most craft stores, including Michaels and Hobby Lobby and the like.
Another option is to cut it with a dremel tool, but use safety glasses and work gloves when you do it.
