Trade Mark infringement? Can I make a doll based off a video game character and NOT be sued?

If I was to make a doll based off a video game character and sold it using a different name could I be sued by the company that makes the game (because it looks like their character) even if they don’t even produce dolls?

yeah if you make a lot of money they might care, go for it though and try not to be too blunt with the appearance

depends where you are, where you sell it, & where the game co is.
in the US, i think you only have to change something like 10-20%…..so if you wanted to rip off someone’s tune for, say, a TV commercial, all you have to do is change a few notes per bar.
w/something like this, i bet you can do it by only changing a couple colors or the character’s hairstyle or something.
on the other hand, in China, copyright is not enforced, so you can outright copy something 100% and sell it all over.
