The business card and how it can help you

A business card is a great way to grow a craft business. Even if you only sell your crafts online, there are many uses for a business card.

You can pass your card around to family and friends. They will most likely be your greatest fans and your first supporters, don’t forget them! You can also ask them if they are willing to carry extra cards to pass around. That can add up pretty fast, and you’ll soon see new buyers coming out from nowhere.

Also, you may want to give a business card to all your craft buyers. Just include the card in the package and you never know where it can end up. Even better, add a few extra cards for their friends, so they have something to give out when they brag about their new purchase. If nothing else, they will most likely keep the card and will be able to find you if they want to buy again.

Promotional material swaps are also a great way to get the word out. This means sending out a pile of cards or other promotional material to another craft seller or group of sellers, and getting a pile of card in return. You add those cards to your package, and the other seller will do the same, so you both win! I set up a thread in the forums for those wishing to find a swap partner. You can also contact other sellers you find online who sell products that are complementary to yours for better results.

And if business cards are too expensive for your fledgling craft business, Free 14 Day Shipping $50+ & 30% Off All Products.Vistaprint has a 250 free business card offer (you pay only shipping). The only downside is the little Vistaprint logo at the back of the card, but hey, they’re free.

Happy craft selling,

Cindy
