Some good arts and crafts ideas for campers?

I am going to be an arts and crafts counselor at a camp I go to every summer, and we always do the same things every year… I was wondering if anyone could give any good ideas for some crafts that:
1) Don’t take up a huge amount of time (45 min-1 hour)
2) Would not be that expensive
3) Are not too complicated because there are going to be 20-30 campers we have to instruct.
Also, the campers range from kids in 6th grade, to kids who are in 9th and 10th grade so if possible we would like to try and find something that girls and boys of these ages would like. Thank you very much :D

Knitting! Easy to teach, inexpensive supplies, portable. You can even make cheap knitting needles out of chopsticks! All instructions are easy to find on youtube and patterns can be found for free with a google search.

In daycares we did nature collages, go for a hike and find twigs leaves and other fun things that are in the woods. We would make “people” or monsters and some kids would make a picture frame or a car or whatever they want to create. Hot glue works good to hold stuff on the cardstock (I think its called, thicker paper) then they would put google eyes on it if it was a person. I also like the idea of knitting, beaded necklaces, friendship bracelets, or even a simple cross stitch pattern.
