I wish you loads of luck. I went through a stage of making card toppers and tried selling them on Ebay. I sold afew the first time but the second time I sold none. That was me finished! I loved my toppers and I couldn’t handle the fact that I was spending ages making them and no-one appreciated them! It either works or it doesn’t. I think if you can get a shop or somewhere to sell your stuff then it’s probably more worthwhile. Good luck!
Just be mindful of the fees they charge. You’ll need to sell enough to cover the costs of the “final value fee”, “listing fee”, and the bells and whistles they offer to help you promote your item. I’ve heard it can be done.
For some items, the fun is in making them as opposed to buying them. It might be more profitable to invent some patterns and sell them, along with kits.

Forget Ebay. Buyers there generally don’t appreciate the value, they just want something cheap and cute.
Try Etsy.com instead. The fees are less, and it’s a site dedicated to handmade crafts. People there are LOOKING for handmade items.
Good luck with your business!
