removable type of glue needed for a crafts project?
I need to find a particular type of glue that will stick paper or fabric to plastic. I’ll apply that glue along the edge of the paper or fabric so that it will attach to the plastic. Once I’m done with the project, I’d like to re-use all the materials, except for the glue. I remember having seen glue like that when I purchase certain types of new products. I believe some individual 8mm video tape cartridges are attached to a plastic backing by the use of that type of glue. The glue sticks well to the materials, but you can remove the individual parts by applying a little bit of force to it. I don’t need the glue to be transparent. I would be nice if it were, though.

There are temporary or removable adhesives that come as sprays or even glues. For the sprays, look for “repositionable” adhesives. There may be some tapes, etc., like that too. And some adhesives will be less permanent if they’re simply applied to one surface then allowed to dry or tack up before being joined to a second surface. There are also little “dots” of sticky stuff (various sizes) that can be rubbed off a surface later, but act as temporary adhesives before that (like the “Zots” brand:

“School” white glues are washable (like Elmer’s Washable School glue), so that would be another possibility, as long as you’d be rinsing them off the plastic, not the paper, when done.
