Quick cheap pumpkin crafts? Big & colorful?!?
…for my school carnival – to serve as both an activity and festive decorations! I’d love to have a ton of big paper mache pumpkins for the kids to paint but I don’t think it’s possible to make hundreds of those ahead of time!! What else can we do short of miraculously getting truckloads of pumpkins donated?!

They could make pumpkins from paper and string.
Paint large pieces of butchers paper with lots of orange, red and brown paint.
Wad up newspaper and bag it up in the painted paper, gathering at the top and tie with string.
Wrap the string around the bag a few times to pull it in places to make the pumpkin shape
Trim the excess paper from the top and add some curly green ribbon and a big leaf.
