Picture frame decorating help 10 points for best answer (it’s a craft)?
Hi,
I am making my friend a picture frame with a picture of us in it. And I thought it would be really cool if I had a collage of quotes (on paper), pictures of her, pictures of me and funny inside joke related pictures. I want those on the out side of the actual picture. The frame is unfinished wood and the frame is 12×12 inches with a 3.5×3.5 inch picture holder in the center. So just one more time to clarify, in the picture holder will be a picture of us, around it (on the wood) will be a collage. Yes I have paint and access to other supplies. We are both girls and we are best friends, I am looking for a simple but nice looking finished product. I would love to know how to get pics to stick (they will be printed out) and how to make sure they don’t tear or fade.
Thanks!

Prepare your collage by cutting out the images, quotes you want and arrange them accordingly on the frame. Once you have finalised the arrangement, apply a thin layer of wood glue to the frame enough to cover each item. Work one piece at a time taking care that you don’t smear the wet glue on the print otherwise it will run. You can also try spray adhesive available in craft shops and do the same.
Once you have finished the collage, get a spray can of clear gloss paint available in any hardware store and spray thin even coats on the collage. Do not attempt to soak the paper with the paint otherwise the paper will end up looking translucent and their prints will looked washed out.
The best thing to do is to test on a scrap piece of wood to see if you like the appearance before applying to the actual frame
Good Luck, have fun
