Need ceramics help because I haven’t worked with them in years and was a very newbie to it then…?

Finally found where someone packed all my arts and crafts stuff (only years later) and now I really want to get back into some things. Problem is this, I had just started working with and learning about ceramics when we moved in a hurry. At the time someone helped me pick out things to keep me busy–only I wasn’t the one who packed them and they got lost till recently. I have no idea if the pieces i have need to be baked after painting or not–or does that depend on the paint? And where i am currently there is only one place I can find that sells ceramic supplies and they have limited hours right now so I wanted a reliable internet site–but again–any suggestions for a beginner!! I want to do as much as I can at home as I can’t get out a lot right now. Is there special paints-any other tips? Thanks so much!

I haven’t worked with them in years myself but seems to me if they are store bought pieces then it depends on the paints you use. Some have to be fired and others not. There are a lot of pieces you can get that have already been baked and can just be painted. I hope this helps a little.
