Nail polish or paint?

Is acrylic paint sold in craft stores more durable than nail polish with acrylic in it. I am painting some small fishing lures and wanted something semi durable and nail polish is holding up pretty well, just wondering if the paint is any better.?

well if you like how the nail polish is holding then you should use that one.

acrylic will wash off. I would look at enamel paints. They are sold in the hobby section with trains and models and things like that.

Acrylic paints sold in CRAFT stores are water soluble… they are NOT as durable as nail-polish. They are “water-resistant”.

An enamel model paint would have similar characteristics to nail-polish.
