My Girl Scout troop needs a simple craft that will use black construction paper. Any ideas???

We are doing a community service project and have about 15 packages of black construction paper that we received for free. The craft would have to be able to be done in less than 5 minutes. We will have about 2,000 kids participating, so I would like to not have to cut much out to be able to get it done. Any suggestions???

You can make a spider web. Pour glue on the construction paper in lines and designs. Then, just sprinkle glitter over the glue and your done! I used to make these all the time when I was a little kid.

    Hello Lisa N.
That’s so cool that you’re doing stuff with your girl scouts! (I think you’re awesome!)
    Okay…here’s one idea.
    “An Egyptian Pyramid with Hieroglyphs”
this involves two folds, one cut, a dot of glue and white chalk…
    1) Fold the construction paper (square works best) from corner to opposite corner. Do this twice and you end up with two creases that form an X in the middle of the paper. (there are now four different “triangles” on your paper.
    2) Cut from one corner to the center of the paper. (this cut now separates two of the four “triangles”.
    3) Take the two separated “triangles” – overlap them and glue them together. Turn it over and this will form a three sided Pyramid. (a dot of glue keeps the pyramid together.)
    4) Decorate the outside of the pyramid with hieroglyphs of white chalk. (Get a book on Egyptian mummy’s so you can xerox some design ideas for the kids to copy.)

This same three sided Pyramid can also be used as a “Tri-o-rama” when tipped on it’s side. You just have the kids draw a scene on the inside and add cut out figures or objects to make a scene…Christmas, historical, story time, or whatever. (But this takes a little more time than what you say you’ll have for your current project)

Anyway I hope that this helps. Keep up the great work! You are my Hero!!!

by the way…will U pleez pick this as the best answer. U R sweet if u do! thin-Q vry mch!

Sillouettes of the face. Tape construction paper to the wall. Have somone stand 1/2 between the wall with the paper and a bright light. Trace their face shadow on the black construction paper with a piece of white chalk. Simple and something sweet.
