Looking for an arts and crafts website.?

my grandmothers 79th birthday is comming up and she passed away 2 years ago. I wanted to make something for my mother in memory of her, with maybe her name, a pic, and something with humming birds. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas!

Michaels the Arts and Crafts store. They have a huge supply of scrapbook items, lettering, and they have ready made shadow boxes to put treasures in.

does she have a place to hang a hummingbird feeder? How about a glass painted hummingbird feeder http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/cr_home_accessories/article/0,1789,HGTV_3255_2731138,00.html
she will remember her mom when the birds visit.

you can also download (search google images) beautiful hummingbird graphics & art to print, & paper mache’ a cheap wooden frame into something very custom & pretty

lastly, find a really cool h’bird picture http://whatbird.wbu.com/img/4/3338/image.aspx

Oh, your mom must be hurting. I’m sorry.

How about a photo handbag? I make them myself, check out http://www.CottonCandyBoutique.com.

Or take your grandmothers favorite article of clothing, blanket or pillow and re-purpose it into a lovely handbag. Your mom will carry it in memory of your grandmother.

Lastly, have a quilt made of your grandmother’s clothing. A memory quilt of sorts!

I can help you with the first two suggestions. For the quilt, go to http://www.Etsy.com and search “custom quilt”. There are some very talented craftsman on Etsy!

    Best of luck!

    Sandy
