I’m wondering if 10-15 year olds would be interested in a summer camp that would teach them crafts?
If you would be interested what would you want to learn? Examples would be: quilting, sewing, knitting, crochet, making jewelry, scrapbooking, or painting.

When I was 14 and 15 years old, I went to all girl camp for 8 weeks. My favorite things to do while I was there was making jewelry with metal and beads. I also enjoy doing clay – pottery. If I were to go again – I would definitely would love to make jewelry and scrapbooking.
Yes! I would be interested in a summer camp that teach crafts. I love making crafts, but sewing is my favorite! You can make many things from sewing, pillows, blankets, hats, stuffed toys, clothing and so much more. I spent most of my spare time sewing. After sewing, I would be interested in making jewelry , and creative painting!
That’s two different demos as we marketers would say. 9-11; and 12-15 plus or minus a year in each direction. We sent our two oldest g’children to a one-week sleepover camp this summer. The 11-year old girl hated it until we got her out of the primitive section and into the arts and crafts/swimming camp, complete with A/C barracks. The 13 yr old boy loved the primitive camp. Primitive meaning daily hikes thru the woods and studying bugs, fire-starting, etc. First time for both. But I think 15 is a bit too old for either. They might be better off as counselors at that age. Once they’ve started with texting and the opposite sex, which I assume your 15 year olds are (whether you know it or not), camp is not cool unless you’re a counselor. So the 10-13 year olds will do fine, just be careful of which type of camp. The 14-15 year olds are probably going to consider it too young for them. That was our experience.
15 is almost 16, that means driving and INDEPENDENCE. And unless you’re in a very rural area or Mormons (no offense to LDS), they will turn up their 14 & 15-year old noses.
Why not try a computer camp for the older ones Or see if they can be counselors for younger kids. That makes them bosses and 15-year olds love that!
i am almost 12 and i think thats a good idea, but dont to much of u know, baby things.do something that well intrest all of them.like bringing picture cameras and taking picture and put them on the cumputer and u know there a lot of websites that u can do funky things with picture.i cant remember any though sry.but that is always fun.
YES! or at least some would. My daughter and I hosted a craft club while she was in Junior high. Her friends would come over after school once a week and I would have a different craft ready for them. I believe it really helped with the anxiety that goes with Jr. High. Their moms were really great about reimbursing me for some of the cost. These girls are about to start their Senior year and while they no longer hang out together, they are still friends and support each other.
We did scrapbooking, jewelry making, painting, sewing. One of their favorites was fabric painting (tote bags, pillows, t-shirts, aprons…)
I definitely think so. I have a group of kids that meet here at my shop to knit in that age range. As long as the crafts are really cool and not little kiddish (is that a word?) they will be all over it!
Yes, as long as the crafts relate to what they are into. Making an MP3 holder, cell phone holder, purse would be fun. Jewelry boxes, scarves, belts, ect… Also gift making (soaps and candles)
Absolutely, also consider ceramics/pottery, woodburning, beading, and lacing or macrame. Think lanyards for flash drives.
