I’m trying to make a doll of a character using a Bratz doll. Her hair needs to be white.?

What is the best way to bleach a Bratz doll’s hair to make it white? I was thinking of using household bleach but I don’t know if that would work.

Bleach would burn it off…go to the drugstore and buy a cheap box of white hair dye. Or to a costume shop and buy the whitening hairspray.

How about shoepolish? Brush it in with a toothbrush (yes, an old one you don’t plan to put back into your mouth) or similar tool. Brush it in so it looks more like natural hair — not tha the Bratz dolls’ hair ever did look really natural, but you know what I mean.

I’ve had shoepolish put into my own hair with a toothbrush for various stage productions. It comes out with shampoo.

Don’t put chemicals, or human hair dyes, on it. It’s likely to just melt. I think your best bet is some kind of white paint that you just have to put in the hair, unfortunately, and it’s not going to look dyed, but you don’t have a lot of choices here. If you choose paint, then you might want to style her hair the way you want it to look before it dries, because it’s likely to stay that way forever.
