beads are always good for the older kids.
and those cut out foam shapes make fun picture frames and bookmarks.
for the younger ages finger paints are a hit. (you could even let them step in the paint and make designs with their feet… because all kids love to make messes!!)
if you have sea shells or puzzle pieces or other random things, you could let them glue them to picture frames and then let them make a painting to go inside.

When I was a kid it was popular to have the young ones glue dry corn. pop corn, dry beans, peas etc. of different colors to a board creating a picture like the one suggested of shells. Older people did it too and I remember seeing a a nice rooster fashioned in this way.

The website that I use the most for my daycare/preschool and also Girl Scout Troop is: http://www.dltk-kids.com

There are hundreds of ideas, they are all pretty cheap and easy and can all be adapted for different age groups and abilities.

    Good luck!

The younger ones might like to
try finger painting with instant pudding. You can lick clean the mess!
