I’m building a model camera for a school project and I don’t know where to start! Any help?
So I just need to build a model camera
made out of cardboard and stuff (craft supplies)
It just needs to be a standard camera with a lens
Where do I start? What do I use for the different parts?
How do I build it?
I know it’s a lot to ask but any help would
be so amazing!
Please & Thanks

its kind of cheesy looking, but i think if you paint it or something, i will get better!
It doesn’t need to work, does it? If not, it’s not hard at all. Get some heavy corrugated cardboard (like a heavy box you can cut up) and some black spraypaint. Get a pill bottle or other small plastic jar. Even a small plastic cup like soft drink mix comes in would work. If it’s not clear, get some aluminum foil to cover it so it’s shiny.
Make the box part of the camera first. Glue The jar to the front. Wrap a strip of cardboard around it (the strip should be the same size as the jar, so it sticks out the same distance) and glue or tape it in place. If your jar is clear, cover the clear end that shows with masking tape. Add any little viewfinders or other details to your camera with the cardboard scrap pieces. Once it’s all together, spraypaint it black. When the paint’s dry, remove the masking tape from the clear end. If you don’t have a clear jar, wait unitl the paint is dry, and then cover it with shiny aluminum foil. Put a little piece of foil inside the viewfinder piece, too, if you like. If you have any, add some special touches with a little silver or white paint.
Pinhole cameras do not need a lens! Go down to the local camera store if there is one left somewhere! Get the photographic paper. It comes in a closed package. Do not open this in the light!
I put up a red bulb in the bathroom, covered the crack under the door and turned on the red bulb to get the paper out to put in my box with the hole in it. Then cover the hole with a piece of tape, like electricians tape. Seal the box well so no light can get in other than through the pin hole.
Take the camera out and set it in the sun so you have something to “photograph” . Uncover your pin hole and let the camera set there for about 10 to 15 minutes. Cover your hole back up and return to the “dark room”.
You will need two glass dishes the size of your photo paper and the developing liquid. Let the print sit and soak in the liquid for the specified time, I think it was about 30 minutes, then put it in the rinse bath. Hang to dry. Then you have your camera, and a picture you took with it.
