Its fathers day soon! hint hint! make some cards! paint or draw, sketch something in the house / garden / something their dad likes!

also, i usually do this with younger kids but …
mix cornflower and water, its a science experiment.
its like putty in the bowl. but see what happens when you pick it up in your hands. :D it turns to liquid! and slips through your hands and turns back to putty! at least half an hour of fun!

icing sugar and digestive biscuits! make edible funny faces with sweets or raisins, whatevers handy in the kitchen!

let me know if you need more ideas!
i used to child mind a lot! xXx

since Father’s day is coming up, make dad a HUGE card. Have them put their feet stamp and their hands on it. Glitter, cut out pictures on why they think he is the best.

just be creative. maybe like making t-shirts, you could get fabric markers and paint and you could buy plain white shirts and they can decorate paint is kinda messy, but it stays on longer. AC more is a great arts and crafts store they have all kinds of ideas and art materiels. check it out.

I know something we use to do in school and thought it was so much fun at the time. Have them take a white paper and color all diffrent colos on it untill it is filled in like last post said. Then have them color over that with a place crayon all over. Then they can take like a tooth pick or something with a point on it and draw a picture in it by scraping off the black and the colors will show through. Most kids love to make the key chains out of the diffrent color lace to. You coudl make t shirts with fabric paint. Me and a friend once made on we got beads and cut the end of the shirt and tyed the beads to it. You could make the knot blankets they are easy and no sew. hope that helps

These websites are a great resource:
    http://familycrafts.about.com/

    http://familyfun.go.com/arts-and-crafts/

    http://www.dltk-kids.com/

    http://www.kidscraftweekly.com/current_issue.html

If you can, try to go through copies of “pack o fun” from the library – it has tons of crafts for kids and is user friendly for the craft newbie.

If you look for science experiments – that’s loads of fun too and crafty-ish. (stuff like shooting film canisters two stories with alka seltzer and soda, and a toilet paper tube as a launch pad.)

I especially have used the first three sites as a crafting resource. I have three girls – all who like to craft tons.

If this site doesn’t keep them busy nothing else will. It rates a 5 star
