My mom does Arts and crafts with my 7 yr old son and my 9 tear old niece. she lets them finger paint and saves old paper towel rolls and toilet paper rolls and lets them make things. Its really inexpensive and fun

Finger pains, construction paper, Elmer’s glue, beads, glitter, gel pens, markers, crayons, fabrics, old Christmas cards, scissors, yarns, feathers. Let them make their own scrap book. Or let them loose to use their imaginations. Just make up a little box with a little of each in it, or w/e you feel appropriate and let their imaginations go loose.

Pipe cleaners and pom pom balls to make little creatures…
    Card Board to make collages…
Tie Dye T-shirts is cheap and fun!

Also might want to get sidewalk chalk, it’s cheap. Let them paint big rocks into little critters (ex: round rock, lady bug or turtle) Old Christmas cards they can cut out stuff from and make their own cards or little books or posters. Fun fun fun :)

try taking them to the nearest themepark for eg, if u live in england theres thornepark adventure island alton towers there cheap as children under 14 get tickets less then half price so an outing to a near theme park wear ever u may be would cost about £20 maximum

When I was a kid, my grandmother used to babysit me every day during the summer. One thing we would do is go to a bookstore at the begining of the summer and buy a kids cooking book. Then we would start at the begining and work our way through all the recipies. When we finished a recipie, we would get to put a sticker on the page.

If we were going to cook that day, she would make me (and my brother) check to make sure we had proper ingrediants in the house and if not we went to the store for them. Then we would make the thing in the cookbook. It took up time and taught us valuable skills, plus you got a sense of accomplishement when you finished the cookbook… and tasty treats! Both me and my bro are good cooks now as adults, which I partially attribute to this.

Popsicle sticks are fun to mess around with also. LOADS of fun if you have to eat them first, to get the sticks.
