I need help with a Hand Made Christmas Ornament Craft?

For Baby’s First Christmas I decided to make all of the family members handmade ornaments.

I took that Crayola Mold Magic stuff that dries and it feels kind of foamy….anyways I took that stuff and put my sons hand print in it and then poked a hole in and put a string in them. I want to attach a little poem or saying to it also and was wondering if anyone had any?

Also, the hand print is nice and deep but its not showing up very well. Any suggestions of anything I can put on it to make the hand print a little more defined?

Thanks for any help!!!

You can put anything you want..

also you can make a poem about how happy you are when he/she was born :)

you could paint the hand print red and the background green (or any other contrasting color set) to help the hand show up better. You could put the baby’s name and birthday on the ornament. That is what’s on mine and I love it! My mom still hangs it on the tree every year, and I’m 22 now lol :-)

You can paint the hand print itself with a little paint or glue then sprinkle some fine glitter to bring it out more. As for a poem…

I miss you when we’re not together
    I’m growing up so fast
    See how big I’ve gotten
    Since you saw me last?
    As I grow, I’ll change a lot,
The years will fly right by.
You’ll wonder how I grew so quick
    When and where and why?
So look upon this handprint (these handprints)
That’s hanging on your wall (tree).
And memories will come back of me,
    When I was very small.
