i need an idea! what to do / make for arts and crafts demonstration?

Hi people.

I need to give a quick demonstration on making something crafty for my design class. im not very arts and crafty so im not sure what to make.. some things people might do are popup books, embossing, oragami, painting techniques etc (quite keen on something like that)

has to be up to 15 min long. i found this on youtube:

its like embossing grass into that leather.. something like that would be perfect! but without the equipment.

has to be done on friday =[

hope people have some ideas for me

Hmmmm, Well here are something I have done myself at home.
Made home made candles. That was alot of fun and really nice to pick the scents and colors.

Painting every day house hold items to give them new life. Book shelves, and wall shelves are a favorite.

Tile mosaic’s. Coffee tables and counters are fun.

Cofee table books. You can take Digital Pictures and make your own book and scrapbook the pages digitaly to give a pleasing book that is something you want to look at.

Home Dye possibilities using natual remedies and wax

Thats all I can think of now.

    Making your own lamps

I like the embossed leather :) You can emboss on paper too and you don’t need a bench press to do it:

What about making an exploding box album? You could pre-cut the papers and have them ready to fold, then suggest ideas fro decorating the insides (have one already made up to show people how it could look with photos in it for example).

Here’s a page to show you how to make one:

Or try making paper butterflies and everyone can take one home:

Whatever you choose, have fun with it :)

You can demonstrate how to make stepping stones or how to create a seeded tray. Individualized wrapping paper made with your computer is always a big hit. All of these projects would be very easy to show and are fun to do.

Well, I only have a few ideas, but they might help you out =)

You can design a t-shirt! With a plain shirt, and some art supplies, you can show how to prepare for it, and everything!

You can do something new, that I doubt anyone else will do. Take a common household item, and use it in a new way, its like recycling art!
Example:An old coffee container, make into a lantern decoration. Or, take old wallpaper, and make it into a collage with other older things.

Also, going along with the last idea(kinda), you can take bits and peices of old clothing, and sew them together, into a small blanket or quilt!

Plus, you can take a plain pillow, sew a small square pecie of plastic onto it, and leave on side not sewn. Then, decorate the pillow, with a theme, then put a crazy picture in the plastic slot not sewn onto the pillow, to match the theme!
Then, you will have a pillow, with a picture in it!!

    ?Good luck!
?Hope you get a good grade!!??
