There are already several people in town making hairbows and jewelry. Any new ideas that I could learn to do and be able to sell? Thanks!

What are you good at? What can you make quickly, and have it turn out looking good? Most importantly, what can you make that will be cheaper than someone in China can make? I can quickly crochet items, and make them well. However, there are people in China who are willing to make a couple of dollars a day, crocheting things. I can’t price my items to compete with them. You’re going to have to be willing to work for less money than someone who makes a couple of dollars a day.

Making candles can be both fun and rewarding. Between 70 and 80 percent of U.S. households use candles and candles are consumable products that customers keep buying . It is not difficult to learn how to make candles and the opportunities for marketing your candles are good.
