I just bought a Cricut dye cutting machine, does anyone else out there have this machine?

If you have one could you please tell me what do you use to attach your designs, shapes and words to your projects. I thought after it was done cutting it would come off the mat and would be ready to stick, I was very wrong. I have made 2 cards so far and had to use Elmers Glue, a bit sticky and messy. I hope someone out there will have some better ideas for me. Thank you so much for your time, happy crafting!

Try Glue Dots. You can buy them at Hobby Lobby. Also, the spatula sold by Cricut is a wonderful tool for removing items from your mat that have been cut.

I just tried this machine at my local JoAnn’s the other night at their ScrapMeet….. wasn’t thrilled with it… but to answer your question:

We slipped the letters into a Xyron adhessive unit. The smallest one they make, 9.99… with coupon less..

If you have or get the large xyron unit that fits 8.5 wide paper you can add adhessive before you laser cut the letters or shapes.

    Good luck.

use a glue stick – that’s my favorite for scrapbooking and is smooth under the paper and short drying time

Hello, I also agree that scrapbooking adhesive strips would work well. Are you happy with the Cricut? I have been thinking about buying one. I am just worried that if it would break, how much would it cost to fix? I have the cuttle bug die cutting machine and I love it. Well, have a great day and Happy Halloween! Take care!

I love My Cricut. You do need to use the special spatula tool they make to remove the letters form the sticky pad. The more you cut the lessn sticky it will get. I use the Elmers Glue Pen to attach them. They sell it by the glue or in the craft dept. at Walmart.
