I cross stitch and I want to make magnets and ornaments. I need help finding what I need!!!?

I have gone to every craft store in my city and not one of them have blank ornaments, am I looking for the wrong type? Can someone please tell me what kind to buy? Could I use photo ornaments? I already have the patterns. And I want to use some of my x-stitch to make magnets too. Do I use craft magnets with the adhedsive on them? Or do I use photo magnets? Please help me!!

    They used to sell these in craft stores everywhere, have you tried Joann’s? here is website that sells them. http://www.janlynn.com/results.cfm?SType=Any&KeyWords=frames I don’t know about photo frames, you need enough room and have something to cover the edge with. If you have them already I would give it a try. You cross stitch on your own cloth and then mold them around the foundation peice and glue them in and place a peice of card bord over the back to hide the edges.

    Photo ornaments and photo magnets should work…. then you just put the x-stitch in the “frame” instead of a picture… just be careful on the back side of your work to keep it a smooth as possible so it does “bulge” out the back of the frame.

    Here’s directions on how to make refrigerator magnets. You could also do one of the ornaments and glue a piece of magnet on the back.
